A brief history of the Select Car Leasing Stadium
Officially opened on 22 August 1998, the Select Car Leasing Stadium is home to Reading Football Club. This prestigious stadium’s modern, all-seater bowl design can hold up to 24,200 people on matchdays. Over the years, the stadium has staged a number of international sporting events and major concerts, including the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Elton John.
The stadium houses a first-class Conference Centre comprising nine meeting rooms and a range of Executive Boxes. With adjacent car parks and a four-star deluxe hotel – perfect for accommodating delegates and hard-working teams pre-, during and post-event – we’re a jewel in Berkshire’s crown.

Our 32 event spaces offer flexible seated capacity for up to 600 people, free WiFi and a dedicated support team of event co-ordinators and AV technicians. The stadium complex also houses 2,000 complimentary parking spaces plus a 4-star hotel with 201 bedrooms, a fine-dining restaurant, leisure and spa facilities.
Located less than a mile from Junction 11 of the M4, we have excellent transport links for visitors arriving by car. For those arriving by train, Reading Train Station is just 27 minutes from London Paddington with up to 12 connections per hour. There is also a direct bus connection between Reading and London Heathrow.

Accommodation at Reading
The Voco Hotel has 201 bedrooms and is situated adjacent to Reading Stadium.
It is perfectly located just minutes off the M4 and on the doorstep of Green Park and other Reading business parks. Guests can take advantage of free parking, and enjoy some down time in the spacious guest rooms after a day at an event, watching football, shopping at the Oracle Shopping Centre, or visiting Legoland or Windsor Castle.
